The Town of Tecumseh a new website.
The website found at tecumseh.ca has several new options including subscription services to news, events and individual page updates. The new website also meets Accessibility for Ontarians Act .
“Our residents have told us time and again that the website is their first point of information,” said Gary McNamara, Mayor of Tecumseh. “It was not only time for a refresh but we knew we wanted a number of new tools to help users get the most up-to-date information. I’m very pleased with the new website and I hope our residents take advantage of all the new e-services available.”
The Town partnered with eSolutions who has also worked other area municipalities and the County of Essex to redesign their websites. The site will include links to regional organizations that service the Town as well as provide event information right from the main page.
“Through the last three Citizen Satisfaction Surveys, responses have outlined that the website is the first place to seek out information followed by social media,” said Shaun Fuerth, Director Information & Communications Services. “The new design provides a number of ways residents, business owners and visitors can interface with the Town, whether they are just browsing or seeking out a way to connect with us.”
Users are encouraged to set up subscription services via the “Subscribe Now” link on most of the pages. Information and updates will be shared by email when the site is updated. Other new features include online bids & tenders, e-forms, and online recruiting.
Council meeting webcasting and online property tax information will be available soon.
