The Costumes for Kids campaign, started four years ago at Forster Secondary School, which closed this past June, and will continue under the leadership of the Tecumseh Vista Academy student parliament.
From now until October 17th, students and staff from throughout the public school board are being encouraged to donate gently-used Halloween costumes.
They can be dropped off at Tecumseh Vista Academy, David Maxwell or Parkview Public Schools, Giles Campus French Immersion Public School, Sandwich Secondary School or the Board office in Windsor.
On Saturday, October 25th from 11am to 2pm, Tecumseh Vista will host an open house at the Sandwich Teen Action Group gymnasium. Children who want to fully enjoy Halloween festivities are invited to come pick out their costume and enjoy a hotdog, compliments of the staff at New Beginnings.
Each year, through Costumes for Kids, more than 250 children have been given an opportunity to dress up their Halloween celebrations.
