Construction starts today on Westminister Boulevard from Joinville Avenue to Iris Street in the Fontainebleau area.
The current 30+ year old concrete construction has crumbled in parts and new sewers and watermains are overdue. Construction will close Westminster Boulevard, from Joinville Avenue to Iris Place, and Haig Avenue from Westminster westerly to the alley between Princess Avenue and Westminster Boulevard.
D’Amore Construction will redo the street at a cost to taxpayers of $920,687.
The roads are scheduled to be completed and opened mid-May, weather permitting.
