Devonshire Mall announced today a $70-million redevelopment and renovation to bring new shopping and dining options along with a more modernized interior of the shopping mall.
“This is an exciting time for the centre,” said Chris Savard, General Manager of Devonshire Mall. “This program reaffirms Devonshire Mall’s commitment to remaining the premier shopping destination in the Windsor area and serving all of the community’s shopping and entertainment needs,” Savard added.
The former Target store, which previously occupied an area of approximately 120,000 square feet, is currently under construction to build a new Metro grocery store. Mall officials say the space will also feature other best in class retailers to serve the needs of Devonshire Mall shoppers. The mall says these tenants follow the recent additions of such premier retailers as Sephora and Forever 21 Red.
A key feature of the redevelopment will be a new and expanded food court. The new food court will feature new dining options as well as familiar vendors, all within a bright and welcoming new space.
The retail expansion will be complimented by a program of renovations throughout the mall, according to officials. The program will create a bright, modern and welcoming feel throughout the mall including attractive new entrances.
Construction is underway and is expected to continue in phases through 2018.
