Registration is now in full swing for the Windsor Classic, a two day street hockey event taking place on Riverside Drive, December 28th and 29th.

Anyone aged five and up of all skill levels can play for a $10 registration fee, and can choose to represent either the Red Wings or Maple Leafs. Each team will consist of 8 players (max) and 1 goalie.

There will be three simultaneous 45 minute games every hour over the course of the two days, with games organized by age group, with one cumulative score for all games.

Each $10 in donations fundraised will earn players a ballot which will be placed in a draw to win prizes. Each player that reaches a minimum of $100 in donations will also receive a collectable Windsor Classic T-Shirt.

Also featured will be family-orientated displays, games, performances and guest appearances by hockey figures. A can drive, bottle drive and used hockey equipment drive will also take place. Should bad weather prevent this from taking place, there are plans to hold it at the St. Denis Centre at the University of Windsor.
