Another Cyclist vs. Car Hit & Run in Windsor

A cyclist was struck by vehicle on Tecumseh Road East around 7:47pm Friday evening. The vehicle, described as a red Dodge pickup truck, drove off immediately, without checking on the well being of the downed cyclist.
The collision occurred near the intersection of Factoria and Tecumseh Road East (right next to Walker Road). The suspect vehicle was last seen traveling westbound on Tecumseh Road East. The truck will be missing one of its side-view mirrors which was knocked off during the impact of the collision.
Police suspect that the driver may have been intoxicated at the time of the incident. No exact plate information was obtained. The driver also knocked down a small road sign at the time of the crash.
The condition of the cyclist is currently unknown at this time.
Anyone who spots a red Dodge pickup truck with a missing side-view mirror is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477.
The last known incident of a cyclist being struck and the driver fleeing in Windsor occurred on Friday, May 14th of this year when a cyclist was struck by a Lincoln Continental vehicle at the 900 block of Janette. That driver is still at large.
