It has been twenty-eight weeks since construction started at the site of the future Downtown Windsor Family Aquatic Complex on the Western Super Anchor lands and the once-parking lot is now a sprawling structure of steel beams rising three stories above the western portion of Downtown Windsor.
Crews worked this week to continue to install blue beams over the main pool area. Neat fact: the difference in colour is indicative of beams that will be visible inside the pool area while plain-steel beams will not be exposed once the building is completed.
The City of Windsor says that portions of the pool are on order from a manufacturer in Italy and are scheduled to arrived in Windsor soon.
