Rebuilding Starts on New Shawarma Express Restaurant

Construction crews are rebuilding Shawarma Express on Tecumseh Road East.
The original Shawarma Express, located in a plaza in the 300 block of Tecumseh Road East, caught fire on November 22nd 2011 and burned for a half an hour. The restaurant was closed at the time and no one was injured.
The drive-thru and dine-in Lebanese restaurant was damaged beyond repair from the fire and was demolished in June.
Construction started a few weeks ago to build the new $380,000 restaurant.
