The City of Windsor will be closing three facilities will modify services to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Effective Monday, December 14th, the City of Windsor will be closing City Hall, the Parks and Recreation Main Office at 2450 McDougall Street, and the Parking Enforcement building at 1266 McDougall Avenue.

The Service Ontario and Service Canada Offices that are located at 400 City Hall Square East will remain open with advanced screenings for all visitors including a questionnaire, the City says.

Officials say Transit Windsor will continue at current operational levels with protective barriers and a mandatory mask policy in effect for the protection of both riders and drivers.

They say all recreation facilities, including arenas, pools, museums and community centres will remain closed until at least January 15th, 2021.

The City has released a full list of impacted city services on their COVID-19 response web page at citywindsor.ca/covid-19. The City is encouraging residents to access municipal services online.

“Windsorites showed tremendous resolve this past spring when the first wave shut down our province, our country and the entire world,” said Mayor Drew Dilkens in a statement. “We need to do the same again to prevent those we care about from getting sick. No gathering is worth the risk. We need to each do our part, by staying apart.
