Windsor’s jobless rate has risen slightly after labour force estimates for September were released this morning.
The unemployment rose from 8.7% in September to 8.9% in October. That translates to around 15,000 people unemployed in the area.
Meanwhile Canada’s unemployment rate fell 0.3 percentage points to 6.5%, the lowest rate since November 2008.
Windsor’s jobless rate represents the entire Windsor-Essex census area.
