Amherstburg Police have released the name of an 18-year-old girl killed in a car wreck on Saturday.
Emergency crews were called to the 1300 block of 2nd Concession North at 7:20pm where a single vehicle had rolled over.
Police say the 2000 Toyota Echo was being driven northbound on the 2nd concession and lost control, struck a mailbox, and rolled over.
The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, Emily Bernauer of LaSalle, was pronounced deceased at the
scene.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information or may have witnessed the accident is asked to contact the Amherstburg Police Service at 519-736-3622 or Windsor/Essex Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477.
