A Windsor man has been chosen to play against former NHL stars in a charity poker tournament.
Dan Hudson qualified through an online poker tournament to play in the NHL Alumni Charity Poker Tournament presented by PokerStars.net. Hudson was a top finisher and earned the right to submit a video audition.
Organizers say Hudson will be flown to Toronto for the tournament to face off against NHL alumni such as Theo Fleury, Denis Savard, and Darcy Tucker.
Hudson will also play against poker pros Daniel Negreanu, Jonathan Duhamel and Vanessa Rousso to compete for a share of the $100,000 to be donated to the charity of his choice.
Hudson chose to play for the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County.
Hudson’s stepson taught him to play poker ten years ago and he has enjoyed poker as a hobby ever since.
You can check out Hudson’s audition video above.
