The boil water advisory in Lakeshore has ended.
The advisory was put into effect after a watermain break occurred in the morning on Friday, December 23rd, and impacted over 550 properties in northeast Lakeshore, including Lighthouse Cove, Crystal Beach, Laforet Beach, and Couture Beach.
Printed notices about the lifting of the boil water advisory will also be hand-delivered to affected properties on Tuesday, December 27.
“We appreciate everyone’s patience throughout the boil water advisory,” said Krystal Kalbol, Lakeshore’s Corporate Leader – Operations. “We’d also like to thank all of our dedicated staff who responded to the watermain break and ensured residents were notified,”
The lifting of the advisory comes after two sets of water samples, taken on December 24th and 25th, were laboratory-tested and showed no signs of harmful microorganisms.
