30 Windsor Fire and Rescue officers and 30 Detroit Fire Department officers showed their strength across the river this afternoon, with the Tug Across the River returning with the CAN-AM games.
The Tug across the River competition had each side pulling to race with buoys at the end of a 1500 metre rope from the middle of the river between Canada and the United States.
This tug has traditionally been part of the International Freedom Festival and was last won by Detroit. It is reported that Detroit took the win in the 2022 games as well.
Unofficial results report the Detroit team won, but official results have not been released yet.
