The Town of Amherstburg has closed the temporary skate park located at the Community Hub.
In a posting Thursday evening, officials say the closure was caused by “destructive conduct both inside and outside the Community Hub.” They say that attempts to mitigate this poor behaviour have not been successful.
The temporary skate park first opened on Canada Day after removing it from its original location in Centennial Park to make way for the new high school.
The town plans to remove the ramps and asks the community to determine the new location for a multi-use skate park by taking the survey at www.talktheburg.ca/skatepark.
