The Greater Essex County District School Board is reporting COVID-19 cases at three more schools in Essex County on Thursday.
The board is reporting one case in a student at Belle River Public School on October 14th, two additional cases in students at Leamington District Seconadary School on October 14th, and one additional case in a student at Mount Carmel-Blytheswood Public School on October 14th.
Greater Essex County District School Board public relations officer Scott Scantlebury has said the board does not release information about the number of cohorts or students affected by the case.
The board sent letters to the Belle River Public school community, the Leamington District Secondary school community, and the Mount Carmel-Blytheswood school community.
“We have been working with the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) by providing lists of students and staff who may have been in contact with the individual,” the letters state. “If you have not been contacted, you or your child (ren) have not been identified as close contacts. The WECHU is contacting any individuals (students and staff) who have an identified high-risk exposure with the confirmed case and will give directions to follow.”
