The Greater Essex County District School Board is reporting COVID-19 cases at three more public schools in Essex County.
The board is reporting one case in a student at Kingsville Public School on September 21st, one case in a student at LaSalle Public School on September 21st, and one case in a student at Tecumseh Vista – Elementary on September 21st.
Greater Essex County District School Board public relations officer Scott Scantlebury has said the board does not release information about the number of cohorts or students affected by the case.
The school board sent letters to Kingsville Public School community, the LaSalle Public School community, and the Tecumseh Vista community.
“We have been working with the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) by providing lists of students and staff who may have been in contact with the individual,” the letters state. “If you have not been contacted, you or your child (ren) have not been identified as close contacts. The WECHU is contacting any individuals (students and staff) who have an identified high-risk exposure with the confirmed case and will give directions to follow.”
