Man Shot Near McGregor

Ontario Provincial Police are looking to the public for assistance in an incident involving a firearm that occurred on September 10th, 2019 in or in the vicinity of the Town of McGregor.
Police say around 12:30pm they responded to the report of an injured man in a parking lot in the 9500 block of Essex County Road 11.
The victim was being transported to the hospital by witnesses when they stopped in McGregor to await the arrival of EMS.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound.
The exact location where the offence occurred is unknown, and there are no suspects.
Investigators are asking the driver of a small, white compact car that was driving on County Road 18 in the town of Essex between 11:30am and 12:30pm to contact police. It’s believed that the driver may have witnessed an exchange between the driver of a pickup truck and the driver of a van.
