Kite Fest Coming To Essex Centre

Keep your eyes to the skies, kites will be flying over downtown Essex Centre on Saturday, September 21st at the Heritage Gardens and the Essex Railway Station.
During this free event, participants will get a free kite to fly and the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities including contests, games and more. Free snacks will also be provided.
“Kite flying is one of the oldest forms of entertainment, dating back over 3,000 years, and it proves you don’t need a smart phone to have fun. This festival is a great chance to unplug, come together, and enjoy some quality time with friends, family and the wider community,” said Cynthia Cakebread, Manager Recreation and Culture.
It runs from 11am to 2pm, weather permitting.
