With the summer swimming season kicking into high gear, windsoriteDOTca will once again be providing weekly beach reports every Friday, all summer long.

We will let you know which beaches are safe for swimming, and those that are not.

Water samples are taken every Wednesday. The samples are sent to a public health lab in London. Testing is done Thursday and the results are given to the Health Unit by Friday.

Based on samples taken Wednesday, June 10th, 2015-:

Swimming is not recommended at Hillman, Northwest Point Pelee, Seacliffe, Cedar Island, Cedar Beach, and Colchester beaches as bacterial E.coli counts of 100 or greater per 100mL of water were registered at each.

No beaches are officially closed this week.
