The annual Windsor Regional Science, Technology and Engineering Fair was held at St. Clair College on Saturday and over 200 local students showed off their knowledge and creativity.
“Our annual fair showcases our brightest young minds interested in science, medical and healthcare applications, technology and engineering,” said Mike Carter, one of the event organizers and professor of biology and chemistry in the health sciences department at St. Clair. “This competition allows young scientists to showcase their innovative ideas to qualified judges who award medals and monetary prizes.”
On Sunday, hundreds of parents, family and friends are expected to attend award ceremonies at St. Clair’s Hanger to recognize the outstanding projects and to announce those students who will be moving on to represent Windsor-Essex at the Canada-Wide Science Fair held in New Brunswick in May.
