Kids love LEGO, and robots, and a local after-school program is bringing the two together to teach students about math, coding and robotics.
Windsor’s Sylvan Learning Centre’s new program called Edge is an “accelerated after school program” designed to teach kids about science, technology, engineering and math — but in fun ways.
“[We want to] expose our students to different technology and engineering concepts in an unconventional and fun way,” says local Sylvan centre owner Giovanna Russo-Romao. “These hands-on learning experiences challenge and inspire kids to master critical 21st century skills.”
Classes include Robotics For Kids in grades 2-8, Coding for Kids in grades 3-8, and a math mastery program for grades 1-5.
Russo-Romao says the courses will be offered after school at Windsor’s Sylvan Learning Centre beginning this April.
