Sparky’s annual Toy Drive is underway.
From now until December 23rd, new, unopened toys and cash donations can be dropped off at any Windsor Fire Station throughout the city.
In addition, several other community locations have also offered to collect toys for Sparky. You can find that list at this link here.
Last year, because of donations of generous Windsorites, Windsor firefighters were able to help 3,200 children which works out to about 1,400 families.
Gifts for older children and teens between the ages of 11 to 14 are especially needed. The Windsor Professional Firefighters Association has a list of gift suggestions for older children here.
Each registered child will receive a bag of toys valued at approximately $35.00 this year.
Two sign up dates for those who need help have already been held, and one more has been scheduled for November 27th from 10am to 2pm at St. Andrews Church on the corner of Park Street West and Victoria Avenue in Downtown Windsor. You are asked to bring valid ID for yourself and children.
