Windsor Woman Dies In Chatham Car Crash

A Windsor woman has died following a two vehicle crash in Chatham-Kent.

Police say the crash happened around 1am on Sunday on Queen’s Line between Dillon Road and Bloomfield Road between a Ford Freestar van and a Ford Mustang.

Both involved drivers were the lone occupants of the vehicles and both were transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance via land ambulance.

A 20 year old male driver from Wallaceburg was treated and released.

The 46 year old female from Windsor was transferred to the London Health Sciences Center with life threatening injuries.

The female driver of the mustang later succumbed to her injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses are asked to contact the investigator, Constable Todd Trahan at 519-436-6600 ext 87100.
