Lisa Gretzky Ousts Teresa Piruzza In Windsor West

Lisa Gretzky is set to become the newest member of provincial parliament for Windsor West.
The NDP candidate took an early commanding lead in the polls over the Liberal’s Piruzza.
With 128 or 246 polls reporting, Gretzky led Piruzza by 7.5% and led by over 1000 votes.
By 10:15pm, with just over 200 polls reporting, Gretzky’s lead slipped somewhat to 4.4%.

Just before 11pm, Piruzza gave her concession speech.
“Windsor-West has been my home my entire life. I’m raising my family here. I will continue to work here,” she said. “I thank each and every one of you. We will continue to work together to keep Windsor strong.”
With all polling stations reporting, the final unofficial tally stood at:
Lisa Gretzky (NDP) – 41.3% (14998 votes)
Teresa Piruzza (Liberal) – 38.5% (13976 votes)
Henry Lau (PC) – 14.5% (5260 votes)
Chad Durocher (Green) – 3.3% (1210 votes)
Helmi Charif (Independent) – 2.5% (897 votes)
