This weekend, the annual Migration Festival will take place at the Jack Miner Migratory Bird Sanctuary.

The festival will kick off at 6pm on Friday with opening ceremonies taking place at the Sanctuary in the Stadium with refreshments being served.

Following the opening ceremonies, the Jack Miner Migratory Bird Foundation will be hosting its annual fundraising event: “Make Your Mark in History”, in our shop. The event will begin at 7:30pm and will feature cocktails and appetizers, a silent auction and door prizes, all in a barn setting. The music of Murphy’s Boys will once again entertain.Guests will then proceed to the Jack Miner house for a bonfire and sing along, with hot cider, coffee, tea and goodies on the porch and in the house. Then comes the best part! All guests will be able to make their mark in history by signing the original Jack Miner guestbook dating back to 1921! Contact the Sanctuary or e-mail [email protected] for more information.

On Saturday and Sunday visitors are encouraged to bring their children for a fun filled day at the Sanctuary. The Sanctuary will be open from 1pm to 4pm with refreshments and children’s activities taking place throughout the day.

More information can be found on their website here.
