The future is bright for Ottawa Street as the first phase of streetscaping and road reconstruction nears to a close.
Construction began earlier this year to install new sewers, watermains, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, planters and lamp posts on Ottawa between Windermere and Moy.
Presently, the street has seen underground utility work begin and end, new curbs have been poured and new lamp posts have been erected.
The removal of Ottawa Street’s characteristic brick rumble-strip crosswalks at intersections also took place as part of this project.
The new roadway will reopen in late August.
All business remain open with access for pedestrians.
