Did you call to reserve one of 300 bricks available from Grace Hospital? Worried about not making the cut?
The City of Windsor says that initially 300 bricks were recovered and cleaned from the former Grace Hospital site. Residents were asked to call 311, and names were to be randomly drawn if demand exceeded the supply.
By last Friday’s deadline, 733 individuals had submitted a request for one of the souvenir bricks.
In light of the overwhelming response, Mayor Francis requested that Public Works recover more bricks, and now enough additional bricks have been made available to ensure every person who has already requested a brick will receive one.
The additional bricks are currently being cleaned, and a distribution plan and location will be released once the details are finalized.
