Forest Glade Library Celebrates 25 Years Wednesday

This Wednesday, the Forest Glade-Optimist branch of the Windsor Public Library will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary and you’re invited to participate.
Festivities will kick off at 4pm with refreshments, crafts, and author Cynthia Peters will be there with her children’s book series “Darius.”
Then at 5pm, Forest Glade’s Tater Tot will be offering airbrush tattoos, Jangles the Clown will appear at 6pm and local vocalist Dayna Cornwall will perform at 7pm along with piano accompaniment.
At 8pm, Forest Glade-area City Councillor and WPL Board Member Percy Hatfield will address guests, after which everyone will be served 25th Anniversary cake!
Forest Glade-Optimist Library opened its doors in 1988 with the generous support and contributions of the Forest Glade Optimist Club.
The Forest Glade-Optimist branch of the Windsor Public Library maintains a collection of children’s and young adult materials, current fiction, popular magazines, DVDs and CDs. Forest Glade Library has free public internet access and WiFi. Trained staff is also on hand to help customers find information or to request information or materials from other Windsor Public Library locations.
In recognition of its 25th Anniversary, the branch will also be releasing a Forest Glade-themed recipe book filled with contributions from the Forest Glade community.
