Winter returned to the area this morning, after a couple of days of spring like conditions.
Gusting winds, sporadic flurries and falling temperatures have combined with isolated areas water on roadways to make sections of roads slippery in areas of the City. Reduced visibility and icy conditions are being reported in some locations.
The City of Windsor reports that their Public Works crews have been out salting the roads since last night, but drivers are still advised to reduce their speed as conditions vary from one location to the next.
“Conditions have changed drastically and quickly,” said City Engineer Mario Sonego. “Snowfall is limited, but drivers should still be on the lookout for sporadic gusts and icy patches on the roadway.”
