A 22-year-old Windsor man has died as a result of a dirt bike crash.
The incident happened Tuesday night around 11pm in a farmer’s field, located on County Road 23 in Essex. Police say that Stephen Cardillo from Windsor had been riding a 150 cc dirt bike in a farmer’s field adjacent to a friend’s residence, when he lost control and crashed.
The bike had no head light and the man was not wearing a helmet. Ambulance attended and transported the man to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
A post-mortem is to be conducted today.
