The University of Windsor Bookstore is moving out of its current, long-time space at the end of the month, according to an email sent to thousands of UWindsor students in the early hours of the morning.
The Bookstore, which will eventually move into space formerly occupied by the Thirsty Scholar Pub, was in need of a temporary location as work is set to commence soon on an expansion to the Odette School of Business.
University officials announced in the email that the Bookstore will move to a temporary location in the former Cafe Chez Vanier, on the second floor of Vanier Hall at the corner of Wyandotte and Huron Church.
The email states that the Bookstore will close in its current location at 6pm on Wednesday October 31st and will re-open in the Vanier location on Monday, November 12th, 2012 at 9am.
The University says The Bookstore will also be operating out of its kiosk in the CAW Student Centre, selling U of W clothing and giftware until the Bookstore moves into its final location at the Pub.
Hours of operation at the Vanier location are planned to be 9am – 5pm daily. Kiosk hours will be 9am to 4:30pm daily.
Due to the nearly twelve day closure, the University says “students are strongly urged to make any necessary course material or school supply purchases BEFORE the close of day on October 31st”.
