Howard Closes for Construction: Laurier Parkway to Highway 3

If you travel between Windsor and the County by way of Howard Avenue, take note that there is a major detour in effect starting today.
The intersection of Howard Avenue / Laurier Parkway / South Talbot will be closing today for a period of ten days while W-E Parkway crews complete the connection of Howard to a new roundabout north of the intersection.
The detour during the closure will take traffic around the entire area using Walker Road at the east, and Huron Line at the west.
The new roundabout will facilitate traffic connecting from Highway 3, the 401, the W-E Parkway and Laurier Parkway in the near future. Plans call for the eventual permanent closure of Howard to Highway 3 as it currently functions and traffic flow will be designed to utilize the new roundabout.
