Oakwood School celebrated 48 years of educating South Windsor’s children on Sunday afternoon with an Open House and a Closing Ceremony.
A tour of the school celebrated the five decades and colourful characters these school halls have seen.
Attendance registries for all the years were on display and could be flipped through to help you remember those long-lost names…
Special guest Harold Sweetman (principal 1968-1974) of “Sweetman’s Swamp” fame spoke at the closing.
As a student here in 1964 I helped to open this building, so it was a “must-do” to come and wish it goodbye…
