Windsor Firefighters battled their first fire of 2012.
A house fire broke out shortly after 1am on New Years Day in the 1400 block of Elsmere near Shepherd.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and heavy smoke is persisting. No injuries are reported at this time.
