As we told you last June, City Council approved a makeover to Charles Clark Square to make it more functional and enjoyable for all who live and work in the downtown core in the summer months.
With a new partnership this year with the Downtown Mission to operate the snack bar, you can grab a quick bite to eat and relax in the new surroundings. Improvements included placing new chairs, tables and umbrellas at random all over the square.
Fourteen large size and multiple smaller size flower pots with trees and flowers have also been located around the square to give it some shade to make it more enjoyable.
Council approved $160,563 for these improvements, which will stay in place until the late fall, and then the surface will be turned for ice once again for the winter months.
