Teams of friends and workplaces came together Friday and Saturday to raise money for kids.

The annual Bowl For Kids Sake, put on by Big Brothers Big Sisters Windsor-Essex was held in Leamington at Empire Lanes, and continued in Windsor at Rose Bowl Lanes.

Teams dressed up, got wacky and wild for photos and knocked over a lot of pins.

The entire event raised over $62,000 for children’s programs and surpassed the organization’s target of $55,000.

Executive director Hayley Morgan says the organization’s next fundraiser is one to bring your appetite to.

“Battle of the Hors d ‘Oeuvres is a great event just to come out and taste food from all kinds of different restaurants in the community, taste some wine, taste some beer, network, it’s a really laid back event and it’s kind of like an indoor food and drink festival!” she said.

That event takes place May 21st at Caesars Windsor.
