A major overhaul of the pavement on a stretch of busy George Avenue in East Windsor will take place soon.
Under a plan by Councillor Sleiman, George will be repaved between Seminole and Tecumseh.
Elswehere in Ward 5, Ellrose will also be repaved from Ontario to the tracks, $40,000 has been set aside for handicap accessibility improvements and Laurendeau will be repaved as it extends from Ontario.
Funding for the project comes from a one million dollar City Council allocation to each of Windsor’s ten municipal wards for projects deemed necessary to neighbourhoods. The project must still be approved by City Council.
