Windsor Firefighters have extinguished a house fire in the 1000 block of Wigle Street on Windsor’s West side.
Fire broke out shortly before 11:30pm Wednesday night on the first floor of a house on the corner of Wigle and Giradot. Responding firefighters broke the house’s front windows as flames burned the front room of the house.
A mother and her children escaped the blaze unharmed and are being accommodated elsewhere for the night.
There’s no word yet on what caused the fire, but an inspector is on the scene.
