Spring has officially sprung in Windsor, with the Downtown Windsor Farmers’ Market opening their seventh season Saturday morning.
The outdoor market, which runs from 8 am to 1 pm Saturdays through to December 10th, opened four weeks early this year starting off the season with a sunny and beautiful day.
“It’s what we consider the welcome gateway to the spring and summer season,” said Market Manager, Steve Green, of the rain-or-shine event in a press release. “The Market was a much-loved event before the pandemic, and was a symbol of hope and recovery over the last two years. It’s a place for vendors and entrepreneurs to have a space to work and contribute, giving visitors and residents access to locally grown, farm fresh products.”
Over 60 full time, part time and occasional vendors will be at the markets throughout this season, meaning there is something for everyone every weekend. Expect to find fresh local produce, food, drink, unique jewelry and home goods, and much more when walking through. Enjoy the Downtown Windsor Farmers’ Market yourself on Pelissier Street, between Park and Wyandotte.
