Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare is aligning with the areas acute care partners in implementing a No Visitor Policy, effective Thursday, December 30th, 2021 at 12:01am.
This policy does not apply to our end-of-life, palliative patients. Visiting guidelines for this patient population remain unchanged and can be viewed at www.hdgh.org/patientvisitation.
“HDGH recognizes the significant impact these restrictions have on our patients. In lieu of visitors, HDGH will be looking to reinstate its Designated Care Partner (DCP) program, allowing a fully trained individual, identified by the patient or family, to enter HDGH as part of that patient’s care team,” a news release read.
The Designated Care Partner program saw immense success throughout the pandemic with over 950 DCPs equipped with the training needed to provide invaluable care to their loved one at HDGH.
