The Greater Essex County District School Board is reporting COVID-19 cases at three more schools in Windsor-Essex.
The board is reporting two additional cases in students at Giles Campus French Immersion Public School on October 28th, one case in a student at Margaret D. Bennie Public School in Leamington on October 28th, and one case in a student at Vincent Massey Public Secondary School on October 28th.
Greater Essex County District School Board public relations officer Scott Scantlebury has said the board does not release information about the number of cohorts or students affected by the case.
The board sent letters to the Giles Campus school community, the Margaret D. Bennie school community, and the Vincent Massey school community.
“We have been working with the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) by providing lists of students and staff who may have been in contact with the individual,” the letters state. “If you have not been contacted, you or your child (ren) have not been identified as close contacts. The WECHU is contacting any individuals (students and staff) who have an identified high-risk exposure with the confirmed case and will give directions to follow.
