The Greater Essex County District School Board is reporting COVID-19 cases at four more schools in Windsor-Essex.
The board is reporting two cases in students at Colchester North Public School on October 8th, one case in a staff member at Essex District High School on October 8th, two cases in students at Queen Victoria Public School on October 9th, and a third case in a student at West Gate Public School on October 10th.
Greater Essex County District School Board public relations officer Scott Scantlebury has said the board does not release information about the number of cohorts or students affected by the case.
The board sent letters to the Colchester North school community, the Essex District school community, the Queen Victoria school community, and the West Gate school community.
“We have been working with the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) by providing lists of students and staff who may have been in contact with the individual,” the letters state. “If you have not been contacted, you or your child (ren) have not been identified as close contacts. The WECHU is contacting any individuals (students and staff) who have an identified high-risk exposure with the confirmed case and will give directions to follow.”
