The Greater Essex County District School Board has recorded its third COVID-19 case of the school year.
The board is reporting one case in a student at Herman Academy- Secondary in Windsor on September 10th.
Greater Essex County District School Board public relations officer Scott Scantlebury has said the board does not release information about the number of cohorts or students affected by the case.
In a letter to the school community, the case is described as a “high–risk exposure”.
“We have been working with the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) by providing lists of students and staff who may have been in contact with the individual,” the letter states. “If you have not been contacted, you or your child (ren) have not been identified as close contacts. The WECHU is contacting any individuals (students and staff) who have an identified high-risk exposure with the confirmed case and will give directions to follow”
