Public playgrounds in Leamington municipal parks are now open.
To ensure the health and safety of all park and playground users, and to abide by the rules for areas in Stage 3, the Municipality asks that users respect and adhere to physical distancing by remaining 2 metres (6 feet) apart from others outside of your social circle at all times.
If the park is crowded, they ask you to delay your visit or consider using another park/amenity until children can use the playground equipment safely while physically distancing.
Outdoor playground equipment will not be cleaned or disinfected regularly.
The town also says that given the popularity of the Tomato Splash Pad located at Seacliff Park and the limited enclosed space around the splash pad area, change rooms and associated washrooms, physical distancing would be extremely difficult. To mitigate risks and slow the spread of COVID-19 in the community, they have closed the splash pad for the remainder of the 2020 season
