Tourism Windsor Essex has announced the winners of the 2020 Best of Windsor Essex awards.

Voting ran from February 3rd through February 23rd with the goal of putting together the most comprehensive list of the “best things to see and do” in the region.

This popular social media campaign drew a tremendous response where Windsor Essex businesses received over 12,600 votes, and handed out 45 awards.

Officials say finalists and winners will be able to use the award to differentiate their business, increase their visibility, validate their achievements, and act as a strong testimonial of their offerings.

“As our tourism businesses continue to pivot their business and service options, it is more important than ever to celebrate the positive stories in our region, and help locals and visitors alike start planning where they plan to explore when they feel it is safe to do so” said Gordon Orr, CEO of Tourism Windsor Essex. “Now more than ever our small businesses need marketing support and awareness – and our Best of Windsor Essex Awards can be used as to propel their message.”

Winners were originally scheduled to be announced on Wednesday March 25th but the in-person event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
