ENWIN Utilities recent campaign to plant trees for Essex Region Conservation Authority is celebrating success.
When the campaign was launched on March 2nd, ENWIN announced it would plant a tree in partnership with ERCA for every customer who opted-in for paperless billing through myENWIN until Earth Day April 22nd, 2020.
That campaign generated 1,314 new paperless billing sign-ups.
Due to COVID-19, ERCA has announced that the community tree planting event, originally scheduled for April 26th, has been postponed due to physical distancing requirements.
“We’re proud of our customers who helped to plant trees by signing up for paperless billing,” said Customer Service Director Robert Spagnuolo. “Those customers also helped save an additional four trees every year by eliminating their paper bills. If all our customers did that, we could save close to 300 trees a year.”
