LaSalle Hires New Director Of Culture And Recreation

LaSalle has hired a new Director of Culture and Recreation. Julie Columbus takes over on April 18th, 2017.
“After our interview process, that included senior management personnel, and some members of Council, we are happy to welcome Ms. Columbus to our management team. Ms. Columbus impressed the interview team, with her ideas and enthusiasm. She will provide an imaginative approach to the delivery of our culture and recreation services,” said Mayor Ken Antaya.
Columbus has over 15 years of experience in the parks and recreation industry, most recently as the Director of Recreation and Community Service for the Town of Penetanguishene, Georgian Bay. She has also worked for the Township of Springwater and Township of Essa in the field of recreation. In this capacity, Columbus has worked closely with the community to provide successful project management and service delivery.
“I am looking forward to helping the Culture and Recreation Team by bringing my passion and enthusiasm to the Town of LaSalle. Working with Council, the Senior Management Team and the community, I am excited to grow and enhance services focusing on providing exceptional experiences for residents and tourists,” Columbus said.
