The Town of Essex is looking for feedback on the use of off-road vehicles on municipal roads.
Off-road vehicles are currently not permitted on Town of Essex roadways. During Council’s recent review of ORV use, it was recognized that there may be opportunities to regulate and restrict their use in urban or rural areas.
A series of three informal open houses are planned for November. Town of Essex staff will be present at each open house to receive comments from the public.
“We will be asking people to complete comment forms at each event and will also post the form online at essex.ca for those who wish to participate in the process but can’t attend one of the meetings,” says Nelson Silveira, the Town’s Economic Development Officer.
The open houses take place as follows:
- Tuesday, November 1st, 2016
6pm to 8pm
Essex Centre Sports Complex – Shaheen Room - Wednesday, November 2nd, 2016
6pm to 8pm
McGregor Community Centre - Thursday, November 3rd, 2016
6pm to 8pm
Harrow and Colchester South Community Centre
The final decision will be made by Council.
