Heavy Rain; Flood Warning Issued For Windsor-Essex

Heavy rain is moving through the area and the Essex Region Conservation Authority has issued a flood warning.
ERCA says the warning is due to heavy and slow moving thunderstorms continuing to impact the area.
Rainfall rates of 25mm per hour possible and rainfall amounts of 25mm to 50mm expected, and because of potential wind gusts to 90 kph, there is potential for localized flooding in urban areas and low-lying floodplain areas.
ERCA says similar conditions of slow moving thunderstorms are expected after 2pm Saturday.
